Hunter Elliott
Director of Fellowships
Hunter Elliott has been working at Berea College Student Craft since 2020, first as a Craft Apprentice in Broom Craft, then as Director of the Fellowship Program. The Fellowship Program is an initiative that grants opportunities for craftspeople from around the country an opportunity to work alongside Student Craft staff and students. This immersive experience brings new creative voices into Student Craft and into Berea while providing studio access and a nurturing environment for craftspeople looking to grow their skills. Hunter also regularly provides support to students in the Broom Craft department.
Hunter graduated from Kent State University in 2013 with a BFA in Sculpture and Printmaking. His work today incorporates many mediums including broom making, wood carving and turning, basket making, painting and more.
