Andy Glenn
Andy Glenn is a designer and furniture maker who serves as Supervisor of the Woodcraft Program at Berea College Crafts.
Before coming to Berea in August 2017, Andy spent the past 4.5 years in Rockport, Maine working at a restoration shipyard, then a cabinet & furniture shop, before starting his own furniture business. Along with designing and constructing custom pieces, Andy taught woodworking workshops, both in mid-coast Maine and at the North Bennet Street School (NBSS) in Boston, MA.
He has taught woodworking workshops to both children and adults at NBSS through their continuing education department over the past 10 years. Andy received a BA in Business Economics from The College of Wooster in 2004. While in Boston, Andy completed the cabinet & furniture making program at NBSS.
His training focused heavily on both hand and machine skills. After graduation, he worked in various shops and in different roles in the surrounding Boston area: repairing furniture in a small restoration shop, doing custom furniture and cabinetry, and as a workshop instructor.
