BEREA, KY — Friday, September 24, from 2:00-3:00 PM come to the Artisan Village in Berea for special storytelling and sharing of culture by Native Americans who will also be participating in the annual Pow Wow at Battlefield Park in Richmond on Saturday and Sunday, September 25 and 26. The Friday event is free and open to the public.
The Pow Wow, like all American Indian pow wows, is a family event. There will be Native dancing, food, storytelling and demonstrations of handmade work.
Larry Sellers, who played Cloud Dancing in Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, attends the Pow Wow every year. He is taking a break from his role in the new movie being filmed, Killers of the Flower Moon, to be here. On Sunday morning, there will be a special worship service for all to attend at Battlefield Park in Richmond.
