Come to the Forestry Outreach Center at Indian Fort on Friday, March 22 at 7PM and learn about the “dark side” of eclipses. What causes them? When do they happen? How can you experience one? Astronomer Jeff Hutton will offer a 30 minute presentation and share his eclipse experiences and wonder at these awesome events. Sun-viewing safety will also be discussed. If skies are clear, we’ll head outside to view the heavens with some large telescopes. We will view the Moon, Jupiter and a great star-birthing nebula in the constellation, Orion, plus the brightest star in the night sky, Sirius.
