Christmas Bird Count

The @audubonsociety Christmas Bird Count is almost upon us! Berea’s observation day is December 20th. If you’d like to participate in this 126 year tradition, please contact Dr. Rebecca Bates at batesre@berea.edu.

Join the National Audubon Society’s annual Christmas Bird Count, a citizen science project that helps enhance the knowledge of bird populations, migration, and behavior. The Berea College Forest and reservoirs are vital habitat for many types of birds and the more we learn about them, the better we can support them.
December 20th is the big day for the Berea area. If you would like to participate, contact Dr. Rebecca Bates at batesre@berea.edu to learn how!
Of course, you can always observe birds any day of the year, adding observations to eBird or iNaturalist as you go!
