Beginner’s Welding with Doug Clarke

Due to high demand, we’re dedicating an entire afternoon to learning how to operate our MIG welders at the Makerspace. Learn the fundamentals and build confidence in using this equipment.
Doug will be covering:
How welders work
How to weld safely
How to set up and adjust the welder

Students will get hands-on welding time, practicing simple welds.
Appropriate clothing is required: Closed toes shoes, long sleeves, natural fibers. We have welding hoods, gloves, and some jackets. Ages 15 and up.
