Join us for our first ever Earth Day Celebration: our 2023 Gardening Festival. This will be a gardening workshop unlike anything you have ever experienced. We have gathered an eclectic group of authors to help you move into this year’s gardening season with new knowledge and a renewed spirit.
9:00am: You will be one of the first people to hear Sarah Hall discuss her journey in learning about planting by the stars. She’ll share the wisdom and knowledge of the gardeners and farmers who use the stars as guides in their annual plantings.
10:15am: Nancy Gift will share her practical knowledge about weeds, both good and bad. When you leave, you’ll be armed with the knowledge you need to keep your garden weed-free, but along the way you may have a change of heart about what actually constitutes a weed or even what it means to be a weed.
11:30am: Leo Carver will talk to us about his gardening journey and how you can cultivate mindfulness in your gardening practice, acknowledging the innate joy that exists in the acts of planting, nurturing your garden, and harvesting.
Last but not least, Nikki Noel will teach several hands-on stained glass workshops where you will get to create your own work of art that will live in your garden. (There are multiple workshop times both Friday and Saturday – see thetalelessdog.com for more details)
AUTHOR WORKSHOP TICKETS ARE $20 – Immediately after the event, this admission fee can be applied towards the purchase of any one of the three books being promoted: Sown in the Stars, Good Weed Bad Weed, or Growing Consciousness.
TICKETS FOR THE STAINED GLASS WORKSHOP ARE $55 and can be purchased separately. This is a separate event and can be attended without attending the author event.
