Berea Tourist and Convention Commission regarding COVID-19:
Like most destinations right now, Berea Tourism is monitoring news reports, official websites and CDC updates. In addition, we are working closely with the City, as well as industry associations, regarding suggested best practices concerning the coronavirus situation.
Rest assured, we are maintaining a ‘business as usual’ approach and are here to assist you where we can.
Due to the evolving nature of this outbreak and the multi-faceted impacts to our industry, we have provided the following resources for additional information:
The Public Health Director from the Madison County Health Department provided the following educational links about COVID-19, commonly referred to as Coronavirus, and requested that we share this information on our City website and social media feeds. These are excellent, helpful sources of general information for everyone.
• The Kentucky Department for Public Health (DPH) has set up a new 24/7 COVID-19 hotline: 1-800-722-5725.
• DPH’s COVID-19 website tracks state-specific information on cases in Kentucky and other updates (www.kycovid19.ky.gov). This site offers a link to CDC’s COVID-19 website, which is also a great source of information on the virus (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html).
• Governor Beshear and his staff offer regular press conferences on COVID-19. These are livestreamed on Facebook and archived on his Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/GovAndyBeshear/
