The Appalachian Writer’s Conference, or AWC23, is a literary workshop that offers beginning and intermediate writers a chance to sharpen existing skills and learn new techniques from award-winning, seasoned novelists, non-fiction writers, memoirists, poets, screenwriters, and podcasters turned book authors! It all happens in the heart of Appalachia in Berea, Kentucky, at the state’s Artisan Capital. The conference’s many sessions and workshops will occur at the Historic Boone Tavern Hotel, where guests are offered a discounted rate. Conference attendees are also welcome to explore other places to stay in Berea. Go to the conference website and look under the tab “Lots to Do in Berea, Kentucky!” While honing your writing skills and planning that next big literary project, enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, and shopping at the many craft stores while you meet Kentucky Artisans. |
