In October 2023, delegates from Madison County arrived in Hokuto City to learn all about their government, economy, education system, and the arts.  This experience, while showcasing the vast differences in all aspects of our cultures, brought to light the many ways we are similar. This can be seen especially in our goals to preserve tradition, protect our natural resources, and to cultivate a love for the arts throughout our communities.
