Susan J. Mitchell
Susan J. Mitchell has been anthologized in Motif: Writing by Ear (Motif Books, 2009) and Motif: Come What May (Motif Books, 2010). Her books include: Snapshots (Heart to Heart Publishing, 2013), Directionally Challenged (but finding my way home) (Old Seventy Creek Publishing, 2014) and After the Heroin: A Mother’s Story in Poetry (Old Seventy Creek Publishing, 2017).
Her work has also appeared in Appalachian Journal, Open Minds, Harbinger Asylum and others. Susan Mitchell has facilitated workshops for such diverse groups as children, middle and high school students, senior citizens, adults with special needs, and adults recovering from substance abuse disorder.
Her unique approach invites creativity, sharing and brings out the poems and stories in all of us.
