Doug Haley
I had an interest in making things at a young age while growing up on a dairy farm. Then, the tools I had available to me were few and crude. I enjoyed a shop class in high school and graduated from Eastern Kentucky University. I work in a custom furniture shop a few years before opening my own custom furniture shop in 1986.
After building furniture for 24 years, in 2012 I began a new direction, designing and making a smaller line of products for the kitchen and home. I like designing and making things that are new to the market, things that grabs ones attention at first glance. In the transition from furniture to smaller items, I maintain the same high standards present in the furniture built over the years.
I believe that craftsmanship goes far beyond the manipulation of one’s hands – it’s a state of mind that is satisfied with nothing less than excellence.
