Alice Fae Weiland
Alice Fae Weiland is a native of and lives in rural eastern Kentucky. She is a retired university professor and possesses a lifelong love of teaching.
Following her retirement in 2003, she started making baskets as a hobby and came to love the creativity and challenges of basketry. In addition to her leadership positions in the community, she is active in teaching children and adults her knowledge and skills of basket making.
With over 300 baskets to her credit, Alice has taught numerous classes at the University of Kentucky Community Arts Center in Williamsburg and this will be her third year teaching at the Festival of Learnshops.
Her work has been exhibited in a number of locations including the Kentucky Artisan Center in Berea, KY.
