Exploring Puppets: Making Simple Puppets - July 22nd from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM - Price: $35
Workshop Instructor: Mary Brown and Richard Brown

Participants will create puppets from a variety of materials such as paper, cardboard, foam tubes, and other found or recycled materials. The workshop will explore methods of turning common items into puppets that can be used in educational and fun situations such as scout troops, summer camps, classrooms, or children’s parties. Participants will progress through stations exploring and making different types of simple puppets. This workshop coordinates with the other three Exploring Puppets workshops (Making Hand Puppets, Making Shadow Puppets and Making Tabletop Theatres).

The Exploring Puppets workshops are designed for teachers, librarians, parents, home-school teachers, religious leaders, and children age 10 to 18. An adult must accompany participants who are under the age of 18 as participants may be using sharp utensils and hot glue guns. A non-paying adult may aid a registered child on only the child’s project.
