We will learn rudiments of letter forms and alphabets, with an emphasis on Italics, allowing the student to letter beautiful notes, cards and letters. Handouts will be given. Calligraphy pens and ink used in class may be purchased at the workshop if desired.

• Location: Berea City Hall Room 121 (Community Room) - 212 Chestnut Street

• Date/Time: July 13th from 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM

• Break: 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM (1.5 hours)

• Total Hours: 6 hours

• Price: $92.00 (Includes all materials: use of pens and ink, calligraphy paper and handouts.)

• Age: 16 & Up (Youth 16 - 18 MUST bring a Youth Authorization Form, completed and signed by a parent or legal guardian, found at this Attendees Resources link.)

• Difficulty: All Levels (No particular skills are necessary, except good knowledge of the English language.)

• Class Size: 12 Max

• Take Home: Twenty-two or more handouts, of which a few will be practice sheets and the majority will be exhaustive examples of most of the lettering styles studied.

• Notes: Participants may want to bring a pen/pencil and paper for notes (NOT a calligraphy pen which will be furnished for use during the class). Calligraphy pens and ink used by participants may be purchased at the workshop if desired.

• NOTE TO EDUCATORS: Educators attending this session will receive access to on-line cross-curricular resources, suggested classroom activities based on skills and concepts covered in session, and a certificate of participation for Professional Learning documentation.
