Peonies are an old-fashioned flower I remember in my grandmother’s garden! Peonies were one of the first flowers I planted in my garden! Let’s paint them together! We will learn some intro to drawing skills, watercolor techniques, composition and brush handling while looking at value and light!!

This workshop focus is on teaching watercolor techniques and drawing skills to build the tool box of each participant. With the skills and techniques learned participants will work to their level of development and apply their new skills and techniques to the painting project being created.

• Location: This location has changed and will now be located at the former Mitchell Tolle Building - 633 Chestnut Street (Previously listed as located at Russel Acton Folk Center)

• Date/Time: July 15th from 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM

• Break: 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM (1.5 hours)

• Total Hours: 6 hours

• Price: $81.00 (Includes all materials, supplies and reference materials.) (Bring a favorite paint brush if you have one!)

• Age: 12 & Up (Youth 12 - 18 MUST bring a Youth Authorization Form, completed and signed by a parent or legal guardian, found at this Attendees Resources link.)

• Class Size: 20 Max

• Take Home: Four to six watercolor techniques, color mixing techniques, reference materials, sketches, student watercolors, good basic brushes, one to two 9” x 12” watercolor paintings of peonies.

• Notes: Bring a favorite paint brush if you have one!
