Workshop Instructor: Hank Gevedon

Make and take the coolest carving bench you have ever seen. The Reptile Spoon Mule is a simple yet versatile carving bench that breaks down for easy transport and storage. Students will review safety rules and then layout a Reptile Spoon Mule Carving Bench. The bench is an essential tool for carving wood spoons and bowls. Each student will use hand wood and metal working tools to make and assemble the spoon mule bench. Instructor will demonstrate how to use a reptile turkey tail carving gouge to make a small bowl and two spoons. Instruction and completion of the bowl and spoon projects will be demonstrated. Students will leave with a spoon mule bench, small turkey tail carving gouge, workbook, bowl blank and two spoon blanks.
