Learn Six Drawing Techniques in Six Hours! - July 13th from 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM - Price: $109
Workshop Instructor: Neil Di Teresa

In the six hours of the workshop, participants will experience six distinct drawing methods (one per hour) using familiar drawing materials. Drawings will cover a full range of typical subjects.

Drawing methods presented:

1. Contour Drawing (utilizing eye-and-hand coordination - pencil)
2. Relax-Image-Draw (accessing a personal intuitive image base - charcoal)
3. Chiaroscuro/Shaded Drawing (observing light-dark value ranges - Conte’ crayon)
4. Gesture Drawing (seeking action and composition - charcoal, pencil)
5. Compositional Drawing From 3-D Forms (considering color as value/light-dark, integration of studied techniques 1-4 - charcoal, Conte’)
6. 2-D Visual Reference (advancing creative use of photographic imagery - drawing multimedia choice)

The goal is to promote continued personal skills attainment, application to future individual creative work, and teaching acquired drawing skills to others. Each student will select their own workshop drawing to be placed in a simple shadowbox frame to go home!
