Participants will make a large Williamsburg basket, an attractive multipurpose basket with a square bottom that expands into a wider circular top. This is a two day workshop.

• Location: Berea City Hall (Basement Conference Room) - 212 Chestnut Street

• Date/Time: July 18th AND 19th from 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM

• Break: 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM (1.5 hours)

• Total Hours: 12 hours

• Price: $92.00 (Includes all materials.) (See Notes Below - Participants need to bring basket weaving tools.)

• Take Home: One large Williamsburg basket measuring 10” at the base, 14” tall and approximately 19” in diameter at the rim. The final appearance of the basket is determined by the shape of the handle and the student’s “shaping technique”.

• Notes: Please bring: a kitchen or hand towel, a 1- 2 gallon bucket for water, 10 spring style clothes pins, 15-20 cable ties that are 4” or 6” long, a lead pencil, flexible measuring tape, basket weights (if available), one small flat-head screw driver and a pair of scissors. If needed, the instructor will have some extra supplies available for use during the class.

This is a two day workshop. This basket requires two handed construction.
