Workshop Instructor: Teresa Cole

We will cover the basics of preparing the clay for work on the wheel (wedging), centering and pulling cylinders. Hopefully we will get to try bowl and plate forms. There will be discussion of basic physical characteristics of clay, chemistry, and firing techniques. The goal is for the student to leave knowing whether they want to continue studying clay or let that fantasy go and find another medium. This learnshop will take place in three sessions over three days.
