​The first drum we hear is our mother’s heartbeat in the womb. Human beings are wired for rhythm and can benefit greatly from recreational experiences with drums. Come join Trained HealthRhythms Facilitator and Kentucky Teaching Artist, Roberta Schultz for a drum circle experience and a research-based discussion about how incorporating recreational drumming into your church, community group, school, or staff retreat activities can increase well-being.

• Location: Broadway Center Room 50 (Class Room) - 204 North Broadway

• Date/Time: July 12th from 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM OR from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM

• Price: $35.00 (Includes use of drums, handouts and song-files.)

• Age: 12 & Up (Youth 12 - 18 MUST bring a Youth Authorization Form, completed and signed by a parent or legal guardian, found at this Attendees Resources link.)

• Difficulty: Beginner

• Class Size: 15 Max

• Take Home: Song lyrics and links to drumming songs composed by the workshop leader as well as best practice handouts.

• Notes: Wear comfortable clothing so you can drum.

• NOTE TO EDUCATORS: Educators attending this session will receive access to on-line cross-curricular resources, suggested classroom activities based on skills and concepts covered in session, and a certificate of participation for Professional Learning documentation.
