Workshop Instructor: Hank Gevedon

Students will be introduced, at an entry level, to the use of the bullseye bucket forge. This workshop will provide an overview of the construction of the bullseye bucket forge, the use of tongs, anvil, and clamp plate. Students will forge, grind, and handle a series of small tools designed to teach skills and techniques of entry level blacksmithing. Students will also gain skills in sharpening, applying handles, and general safe use of the tools they make in this workshop. Forging and hot work safety will be covered extensively so that a safe working environment is maintained. This introductory level workshop will also provide the opportunity to purchase onsite for $299 the FACTs kit (forge, anvil, clamp plate and tongs) that the students will be using so that the students may continue their forge work on their own after the completion of the workshop. This workshop will include the use of the written workbook, and all the materials needed for the student to build four small entry level tools used for woodworking and metalworking, and put handles on them through the course of the workshop.
