Students will learn about geodesic dome design and construction. Over the course of the day students will use a Reptile Toolworks Gevedome kit to assemble a thirteen foot high, thirteen foot in diameter geodesic dome frame. The students will assist in covering a portion of a sample dome, installing a door, and stove pipe exit. Students will leave with a disassembled dome ready for transport as well as a workbook including a link to instructional video.

Course Objectives - Students will learn:
1. How a dome is designed
2. How to bend the kit plates
3. How to layout holes
4. How to drill holes
5. How to assemble frame
6. How to install tin panels
7. How to cover dome in plastic
8. How to install a door
9. How to disassemble dome and transport

• Location: Berea Welcome Center (Back Platform) - 3 Artist Circle (Workshop is held outside. Active railroad in close vicinity to location.)

• Date/Time: July 17th from 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM

• Break: 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM (1.5 hours)

• Total Hours: 6 hours

• Price: $286.00 (Includes all materials needed for the entire frame (plate kit, hardware, 2 x 2 lumber), a workbook and link to instructional video.)

• Age: 18 & Up

• Difficulty: Beginner

• Class Size: 8 Max

• Take Home: A disassembled geodome frame that when assembled is 13’ high and 13’ in diameter, a workbook and link to instructional video.

• Notes: Participants must be able to stand for periods of time, have a degree of mobility and body strength.

Please wear closed toe shoes and safety glasses. Participants not meeting these requirements will not be allowed to join the workshop. If you purchase this workshop for someone else, please be sure they know the requirements.
