Art of Illustration for Pre-K - 3rd Grade Educators: Show Me a Story
Art of Illustration for Pre-K - 3rd Grade Educators: Show Me a Story - July 16th from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM - Price: $46
Workshop Instructor: Martin Rollins

Children’s books are essential for developing observation skills and building young learner’s abilities in reading and writing. We will begin our adventure in children’s literature by jumping into Harold and the Purple Crayon, move on to The Snowy Day, and finish up with Redchenka’s Eggs. Along the way we will look at using those books in the classroom as literacy tools and do some art-making as well. A free raffle will be held at the conclusion of the session!

Participants should have basic skills in drawing, cutting, and gluing methods used in classrooms. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of the visual art dimension of children’s books, and tools for using children’s books as an aid to developing observation skills and teaching reading and writing.
