Art of Illustration for 4th-12th Grade Educators: The Practical and the Artistic - July 16th from 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM - Price: $46
Workshop Instructor: Martin Rollins

Helping students to grow both their literacy and their artistic skills often work hand-in-hand with “real life” experiences and concerns. In this session we will discover examples of how the “practical” can work with the “artistic” as we create our own written and artistic creations. An emphasis of the session will be on the use of economical and accessible materials, and a raffle will be held at the conclusion of the session!

Participants should have standard drawing and painting skills used in a classroom. Participants will leave with tools of understanding of the role of visual arts in book illustration and will be able to effectively use those tools to build observation skills and enhance literacy instruction and engagement.
