Cargill (MAC) Natural Sciences and Health Building (34) on the 4th floor. Visitors can enter using the two doors located at the front of the building. DESCRIPTION:The Berea College planetarium hosts shows twice a week in our large planetarium. The shows are open to the public and held every Friday at 7PM and Sunday at 4PM. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children and seniors. You can check out https://planetarium.berea.edu to view the available shows and descriptions. \nLocated in the Margaret A. Cargill (MAC) Natural Sciences and Health Building (34) on the 4th floor. Visitors can enter using the two doors located at the front of the building. Parking and location information is provided by the interactive campus maps.

DESCRIPTION: A Special Directing Debut! \n Deep in the Louisiana swamplands\, secrets simmer beneath the surface… \nJourney into the mysterious world of the Louisiana bayou where Spanish moss drapes ancient cypress trees and the air is thick with secrets\, superstition\, and Southern charm. Many legends persist in the bayou\, but none strikes an icy chill of fear like the mention of “Le Serpent!”  Four children set out to find the creature which can supposedly take the shape of anything or anyone it chooses!  Our brave crew stumbles upon many creatures before they free a girl caught in a trap.  She claims to live there\, but no person could live that deep in the bayou.  Strange things continue to happen when the children are caught by Boudreaux\, the crazy hunter\, and his even stranger mother.  But when the rescued girl disappears\, the creatures come out to help the other children escape.  The children quickly return to the safety of home.  Has the mystery of “Le Serpent” been solved?\nUnder the fresh vision of director Meriel Willis in her directing debut\, this atmospheric production promises to bring new depth and perspective to the stage. SUMMARY:Mini Tree Nursery Box Painting
DESCRIPTION:The Berea College Grounds team is starting the Free Tree Initiative–a project to grow native trees from the forest that can then be intentionally planted on campus or in the forest or given to community members to plant. The mini tree nursery boxes will be placed in the forest by the Center to get tended while they grow\, so we would love help decorating them! We’ll be set up by the trailhead with the boxes and paint supplies for you to add your creative touch and learn more about the project!

DESCRIPTION:Come join us each Saturday from 10:00-11:00 am at the Forestry Outreach Center for Forest Meditations!\nThis is an opportunity to connect with ourselves\, each other\, and the world. All are welcome! We will meet in the “Nature’s Classroom” gazebo. Bring your mats or cushions if you like. Chairs will be provided.\nWe will start with a short introduction to the sit\, meditate for about 20 minutes\, and then invite you to reflect on your experience in any way you wish. It could be through writing\, drawing or quiet contemplation. We would then welcome anyone who would like to share from their experience. We would love to have you linger afterwards for coffee and conversation.\nThis event is hosted by Berea College Forestry Outreach Center\, Wendy Zagray Warren\, Jane Mecham and Pat Gailey.
