Want to learn about the local wildlife?\nThen join a group hike at the Pinnacles in Berea! \nEvery Saturday at 1:00 pm\, FOC staff and Berea College students will be ready to hike with you! The group that attends will decide on the destination together. We can also split groups (if there is ample staffing) if there are different wants/needs of hike difficulty.\nPlease bring water and any medications you might need (i.e. inhaler). For each print sold\, $50 will be donated to Redeeming Hope\, a nonprofit dedicated to combatting human trafficking of minors in Kentucky. Redeeming Hope is currently constructing a 6\,000+ square-foot therapeutic foster home for teen girls from all 120 counties of Kentucky who have been trafficked or sexually exploited. The home will be right here in Berea.\nEnjoy inspiring presentations from guest speakers Jackie Tate Stewart and Lisa Foster\, Founder and President of Redeeming Hope\, as they share their stories. The event also will showcase Jackie’s full catalog of journals\, prints in a variety of sizes\, and seasonal items like “Letters to Santa” journals for kids and the young at heart. DESCRIPTION:Chasing the Ghost Particle discusses how the IceCube Neutrino Observatory in Antarctica studies neutrinos\, which are tiny “ghost” particles that travel through space and can provide clues about extreme cosmic events\, taking viewers on a journey from the South Pole to the far reaches of the universe.\n\n\nFriday 7:00pm\nSunday 4:00pm\n$5 Adults\n$3 Children/ Seniors\nCash only\n\nThe Berea College planetarium hosts shows twice a week in our large planetarium. The shows are open to the public and held every Friday at 7PM and Sunday at 4PM. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children and seniors. You can check out https://planetarium.berea.edu to view the available shows and descriptions. \nLocated in the Margaret A. Cargill (MAC) Natural Sciences and Health Building (34) on the 4th floor. Visitors can enter using the two doors located at the front of the building. Parking and location information is provided by the interactive campus maps.
