DESCRIPTION:Won’t you be my neighbor…in the forest neighborhood? The Berea College Forestry Outreach Center is offering two sessions (different age ranges) of morning activities learning about our ecosystem/forest neighborhood and how to be good neighbors to each other and wildlife. \n\nThese activities are free\, but registration is required! This is not a drop off program–a guardian must be in range of the child(ren) at all times and participation is encouraged! There will be some stationary activities as well as walking in the lower forest and on some trails. You do not have to commit to all three days\, you can specify days below. If you will register children for both sessions\, please submit a form for each session.\nPlease reach out to zagrayk@berea.edu with any questions.\n\n*Session 1 — July 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd — 9:00am-12:00pm — Ages 4-7 \n*Session 2 — August 6th\, 7th\, and 8th — 9:00am-12:00pm — Ages 8-10 \n \nIf you have children outside of the age ranges\, you are welcome to bring them with you as the guardian and they can participate\, when possible\, though some supplies will be limited to the number of registered children. Both sessions will have similar activities and cover similar topics\, but Session 2 will dig deeper into topics. Please reach out to zagrayk@berea.edu to discuss any questions about how to register with multiple children.\nEach session will have 15 participant spots. If spots fill up before you register\, you will be contacted to be on a wait list to be alerted if spots open up.\n***In case of thunderstorms/pouring rain\, we will move activities into the gazebo or classroom\, but the morning might end before 12:00pm. DESCRIPTION:Come join us each Saturday from 9-10am at the Forestry Outreach Center for Forest Meditations!\nThis is an opportunity to connect with ourselves\, each other\, and the world. DESCRIPTION:Want to make new friends? Worried about hiking alone until you gain your confidence? Want to learn about the local wildlife?\nThen join a group hike at the Pinnacles in Berea! \nEvery Saturday at 10:00am this summer\, FOC staff and Berea College students will be ready to hike with you! The group that attends will decide on the destination together. We can also split groups (if there is ample staffing) if there are different wants/needs of hike difficulty.\nPlease bring water and any medications you might need (i.e. inhaler). Dress for the weather.\n*The hike will be cancelled in the case of inclement weather including thunderstorms or high winds*\nGroup hikes are offered year-round. \nHike times:\n*May-August\, 10:00am\n*September-April\, 1:00pm\nNo hikes the weekends of Thanksgiving\, Christmas\, New Years
