DESCRIPTION:Curious about birds? Want to join in on bird count walks? This class is for you! \nRegister here: https://homegrownhideaways.eventbrite.com \nThis all-ages class will teach participants different ways of identifying birds from a Bird Nerd\, Kate Houlne\, who has been identifying birds species for 25 years. \nParticipants are asked to dress for the outdoors and be prepared for some moderate hiking (it’s tick season so closed-toe shoes\, pants\, and bug spray are recommended as are water\, snacks\, binoculars if you have them\, and a way to take notes). We will plan to meet at the Pavilion and head out into the forest (weather-permitting). If the weather isn’t cooperative\, we will stay at the shelter. \nClass is FREE\, but limited to 20 participants so please register. If you have registered and can no longer attend\, PLEASE CANCEL your registration so that someone else may take your place. NO PETS. \nAbout Kate:\nKate is an educator\, photographer and avid birder. She hasn’t missed a day of birding since 2019.

DESCRIPTION:Every star has a story. Some are as old as time\, faint and almost forgotten. Journey to the furthest reaches of our galaxy and experience both the awesome beauty and destructive power of stars. STARS focuses on the lives of the stars\, how they are born\, how they die\, and how human understanding of the stars has changed over time. From Native Americans to Newton\, from the electromagnetic spectrum to Einstein\, audiences will explore nebulae\, star clusters\, pulsars\, black holes\, and more. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nLocated in the Margaret A. Cargill (MAC) Natural Sciences and Health Building (34) on the 4th floor. Visitors can enter using the two doors located at the front of the building. Parking and location information is provided by the interactive campus maps.
