SUMMARY:Next Steps: Sculptural Containers with Beth Ireland
DESCRIPTION:This workshop is an excellent next step for anyone who has already begun to learn the fundamentals of woodturning.  Beth leads participants through a series of projects that utilize proper spindle and end-grain turning techniques to create boxes\, vessels\, and bowls. Additionally\, students learn to make custom tools for hollowing and specialized applications. \nBeth emphasizes safe and efficient tool handling throughout. She also creates a supportive atmosphere in which students can develop their creative voices. Among the decorative skills she covers are architectural carving for twists and patterns\, offset turning\, and pyrography. \nAll material costs and daily lunches are included in the course fee at Pine Croft.

One Eyed Jacks is proud to Host this event in our Card Lounge. \nOur 3rd First Friday of the Month events will be Wine tastings featuring a Small Blind and Big Blind Tasting as a nod to our Poker Games. It will also include a tasting of a rare\, vintage\, or Limited Edition Wine that isn’t found on any old liquor store shelf. In addition you will get to sample a cocktail made using the Small Blind tasting as well.  \nEvent Tickets can be purchased in advance at Great Spirits in Berea or by contacting staff at One Eyed Jacks. Seating is limited so we recommend pre-purchasing your tickets to lock in your seat for the tasting.
