DESCRIPTION:Want to make new friends? Worried about hiking alone until you gain your confidence? Want to learn about the local wildlife?\nThen join at group hike at the Pinnacles in Berea!\n***\nEvery Saturday at 10:00am this summer\, FOC staff and Berea College students will be ready to hike with you! The group that attends will decide on the destination together. We can also split groups (if there is ample staffing) if there are different wants/needs of hike difficulty.\nPlease bring water and any medications you might need (i.e. inhaler). Dress for the weather.\n*The hike will be cancelled in the case of inclement weather including thunderstorms or high winds*\nGroup hikes are offered year round. DESCRIPTION:The Berea Urban Farm loves winter and there is no better time to share stories and meet other urban gardeners than February! Join us to show your support for Sustainable Berea’s mission while enjoying a memorable evening of good food\, meaningful conversation\, and community connection. Expect a lively silent and live auction along with raffles\, complimentary dinner included with each ticket\, and a chance to celebrate our Community Sustainability Award winners. \nAll proceeds from the event will support the following programs: \n1) Victory Garden Blitz provides raised beds for gardening. This program is in its 11th year! \n2) The Farmacy Program will provide nutrient-rich fruits and vegetables to low-income adults managing chronic illnesses\, supporting their health through better nutrition. \n3) Acts of Restorative Kindness (ARK) Program will enhance both food security and biodiversity. This initiative will support residents in allocating half of their yard space to organic food cultivation and the other half to natural habitats.
