Mary Brown and Richard Brown

​Mary Brown has extensive experience in the area of education and the use of puppets. She worked for many years as an elementary/early childhood classroom teacher and music teacher; sixteen years in higher education teaching general, elementary, early childhood education classes; four years as a puppeteer and doing workshops with a variety of audiences. Mary attended local, regional, and national puppet conferences. She is currently a member of Puppeteers of America organization. Mary produces and performs puppet shows, and makes custom puppets.

​Richard Brown holds a PhD is Music Education from Michigan State University, and has 41 years experience teaching music in public schools and universities in West Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Indiana. He is a past-president of the West Virginia Music Educators Association, and has presented many workshops on a variety of topics throughout his career. He and his wife Mary have been actively involved in the art of puppetry for the past ten years. He is now enjoying retirement as a puppeteer in Berea, KY.
